Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to run away to the circus. I'd practice my high wire and dance routines in the privacy of my bedroom for hours on end. And that was before we would see the circus! Once I saw the circus, I increased my practice sessions.
I no longer have dreams of joining the circus, but that does not stop me from imagining it from my seat.
Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Baily Circus Xtreme opened at The Quickens Loan arena last night and it was a magical night for the whole family! Circus Xtreme is here until Sunday and tickets are still available for as low as $17! Trust me - there is no bad seat! I think I've seen it from every possible angle and I've always been thrilled beyond belief.
We started with the pre-show event, which is free to all ticket holders. You and your family can meet the stars of the show, get autographs, try on costumes, take pictures, and see mini shows all in anticipation to the big show!
Childhood Cancer Research
Before the show got started David Shipman, Circus Xtreme's Ringmaster, presented Metro Health with a $10,000 donation for childhood cancer research.
Cleveland is just one of the 50 cities Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey visits, that will receive a donate of $10,000 plus the Ringling Bros. Children’s Fund will match each donation with an additional $10,000 donation to the Primary Children’s Hospital Foundation to support the PCH Pediatric Cancer Research Program. This program, which helped support the elephant research, focuses on innovative approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and improving the value of pediatric cancer care.
High-wire wizards, powerful strongmen, BMX trick riders, trampoline daredevils, inconceivable contortionists, a high-flying human cannonball, a bungee aerial skydiving display and an international assembly of more than 100 world-renowned artists provide 2 1/2 hours of thrilling entertainment.
So much Xtreme everything packed into 160 minutes!
It really was a wonderful evening! I could share so many more pictures and still would not be able to showcase how amazing this circus is in person. Go, seriously, see this show while you can!
