This is the final week to see Freaky Friday at the Cleveland Play House.
An overworked mom (Heidi Blickenstaff) about to get married and her heart sicken daughter (Emma Hunton) switch places while fighting. Freaky Friday is an updated new musical based on the American classic novel by Mary Rodgers and hit Disney films.
It was hard to imagine what Freaky Friday musical would be like and I had my doubts. But the minute that the music started and the singing started I was hooked. It wasn't just me either. My kid was glued in his seat watching this fantastic production.

Freaky Friday's music is phenomenal! Upbeat, pop-rock tunes. And, the singing was incredible. These ladies have some serious pipes. They also did an amazing job playing switched roles.
Freaky Friday is so much more than an amazing production. The kid and I also had some great discussions based on the musical's theme. We talked about peer pressure and school stress. We also discussed his relationship with his sister.
After the play, we hung out for a few minutes to partake in the scavenger hunt that Cleveland Play House provided. While it's past the time to win a prize, we had a ball running around the lobby searching for items on the list and taking selfies.
Our afternoon was so much more than a fun event. We made a memory that will last a lifetime.
