As part of the Netflix #streamteam, I have not been compensated for this post but I have received a subscription in exchange.
The days are getting longer and cooler which means we are getting closer to the new fall season on regular TV!
I find that I'm watching live TV less and less and binge watching shows on Netflix more and more. I think I'm just bored with what's on TV right now. Plus, I'm catching up on the shows that I've missed out on from previous seasons or just forgot what happened.
I watched Heroes faithfully until the last season when they announced that it was cancelled. I stopped watching. My love for these misfits with superhuman powers never died and once I heard that it was rebooted, I put it on my list.
Who wouldn't want a superhero power? I know I would like one! Maybe, water to wine or truth detector.
Once Upon a Time
Again, another show I had been faithful to but by Sunday night, I'm exhausted and just can't always stay awake to watch it. Now that we canceled our DVR service, it is super hard to keep up.
I'm actually caught up with Once and I adore each season especially how they merged the Ice Queen with Frozen in season four.
The Mysteries of Laura
I'm crazy for Debra Messing and when I started watching The Mysteries of Laura I was certain the network would give it a chance. Then I heard rumors of it being canceled, so I stopped watching. Guess what!? Not cancelled so I have to watch the rest of the season before the new one starts!
Laura is a single mom of twins, who works with her cheating ex-husband, as a detective. She is gorgeous in her disarray and tough as nails persona while trying to balance life and love. Despite my description - it really is good.
I'm so not a football fan, but I find this show hysterical until I got behind and stopped watching. At least I can watch the hijinks while they obsess over fantasy football and real life drama on Netflix while waiting to miss the next season. Hopefully, it will always be streaming.
Narcos is on my list only because the Hubs says it should be and I do like crime stories. I'm just not sure this gritty tale of drug kingpins in the late 80s and the brutal, bloody conflict of the many and often conflicting forces - legal, political, police, military and civilian - that clash in the effort to control coke.
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is another show that the Hubs has been trying to get me to watch for the last few years and it's been sitting on my list for about a year now.
I do enjoy a good zombie apocalypse, but for some reason, I just haven't gotten behind this one. I know I need to give it a chance but with so many people telling me to watch it - it's time.
The Vampire Diaries and The Originals
A few weeks ago I did a giveaway for The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. It was hard for me to admit this but, I've been wanting to watch it but figured it would be cancelled. Six seasons and a spin-off later and I finally started watching it.
Beautiful people, teen drama, supernatural, and sex. What's not to love.
What's on your list?
