I Love a Latte Dip! Chocolate Espresso Dip

A day for dipping

Dip day is a tradition in my office. I'm not certain how it came about, but the responsibility was handed down to me when the dip day founder left our company. It's a big responsibility to keep the tradition going.

In the hopes of increasing engagement, team themes were encouraged. My team was set up in the kitchen so our theme was barista dips. Someone made a chai latte dip, someone else made a pumpkin spice dip, and there was even a cannoli dip. I thought long and hard as I munched on some chocolate covered espresso beans when it hit me!

If I could remember where I got the dip recipe from, I would credit the author but I found a print out of it in my recipe box.

There were at least forty dips to try. My favorite was a roasted brussels sprout, spinach, artichoke dip from the Thanksgiving-themed dip station. That was also my second favorite station, next to my team's of course.

I never realized that sweet dips were a thing until dip day started. I was blown away when someone brought in a smore's dip.

The first sweet dip I made was Salted Caramel Cider dip. The next time I participated in dip day I made a Cheesy Jalapeno dip. It was the height of my spicy phase. While both were a success, this year's Chocolate Espresso dip was by far the best received of my cooking endeavors. I mean who doesn't love chocolate, coffee, and cream cheese. It's pretty freakin' awesome!
