The day my Spawn said, "Let's watch Shark Week!" I was overjoyed.
Over the last few years, we've spent several hours on the edge of the sofa in awe of these majestic creatures. We look forward to this week every year.
This year, instead of just watching, we are creating a blanket with Alex Toy's Knot-a-Shark kit.
Everything needed is in the box save for a pair of scissors and tape to hold some of the pre-cut felt shapes in place while sewing.
Recently, I started showing the kids how to sew. My daughter has even made a few pillows with the sewing machine.
Knot-a-Shark makes sewing easy for even the most inexperienced. Pre-punched holes guide little fingers while sewing and directions for knotting are simple to follow. When complete, the blanket measures 42in. x 60in.
Hopefully, by the end of Shark Week, she'll have a fun, cozy blanket. Not to mention the memories we are making.
