A few years ago, I shared ten ideas for experience gifts inspired by Northeast Ohio. Family members had been asking what the kids would like for the holidays. I'm back to share ten more ideas still inspired by our love of Ohio.

Zoos
Who doesn't love a trip to the zoo? Buying a family pass does more than giving families a chance to spend quality time together. It strengths the ability of zoos to serve the community and the animals they have been able to help. Check out our trip to the Columbus Zoo.
Natural History Museum
Cleveland's Museum of Natural History has recently been updated. We were blown away by the new Perkins Wildlife Center.
Children's Museums
I think it's a safe bet that every state has a children's museum. Ohio has at least three. The Cleveland Children's Museum recently re-opened in its new home. I take issue that they charge adults full amount for a children's museum. But, gifting a family membership to a family would pay for itself in a few visits and provide an affordable day of fun.
Science Center
The Great Lakes Science Center has worked tirelessly to bring fresh new exhibits several times a year. And, giving the gift of science seems essential this year.
Classes
This was on my last list, but I don't know a family who doesn't have their kids in some kind of class, team, or club. Mine are in dance, art, and filmmaking. How special would it be for someone besides their parents to acknowledge and encourage their dedication.
Concert Tickets
My daughter's first concert was Lilith Fair. It was amazing. She was three months old. Needless to say, she's more than ready to go to one of her choosing.
Theater Tickets
Northeast Ohio has a slew of options to fit any budget. There's community theater like the Beck Center or Near Westside Theater. And, there is Playhouse Square with Broadway shows and even kids' shows like Shopkins Live.
Even tickets to an old movie theater would prove to be a delightful gift that would provide new, unique experiences.
Art Museum
The Cleveland Art Museum, for the most part, is free and promises to always be free. I've found that it's not the case in other areas. That said, even though our museum is free, members get a slew of perks for supporting our beautiful institution.
Waterparks
Splurging for a day pass or overnight for the family could mean a much-needed stay away for a family on a tight budget. Castaway Bay, Kalahari, and Great Wolf Lodge often have amazing specials to make it more affordable than you would expect.
Skiing and Tubing
I have recently been introduced to the idea of hitting Ohio Ski slopes. As someone who hates the snow and cold. I must admit that a day at the lodge looks like a lot of family fun. And, lessons are more affordable that would have ever thought. I think tubbing would be more my speed.
