All thoughts and opinions are my own

There's no denying that autumn and Halloween is my favorite time of year! I love to take pictures all year long, but nothing beats the golden glow of fall or festive costumes of all hallow's eve. This is also the season of fall festivals and Halloween parties, which create even more photo opportunities.

This year, I'm on our school's PTA board in charge of membership and bringing new members into the group. A few things I've done to spark conversations with parents about joining has been with candy and reaching out to teachers.

My latest challenge was a way to bring families to the membership table at our Fall Festival in the hopes of recruiting new members and sharing what's been going on with the PTA so far this year. Thanks to HP, I was able to create a fun photo booth and parents were able to print their pictures out using the HP Envy wireless printer onto HP Social Media Snapshot paper.

HP Social Media Snapshot paper is 4 x 5 paper that has a sticky back and is the perfect size for printing pics that have been sitting on your phone or tablet or are hanging out on your social media feed.

HP Social Media Snapshot app
Download the app, select a photo, add a frame with a message, and print.

The HP Social Media Snapshot app makes printing your photos even easier because you can log right into your Facebook, Instagram, or Flickr accounts to customize and then print your photos. Of course, you can also use what's on your phone just as easily. In fact, that is what we had our families to do at the photo booth.

The photo area was easy to setup for this event. I went to our local craft store and bought a few inexpensive background items and made the photo frame. I made the frame so that it could be used again at other events by covering it with chalkboard tape and decorating it for Halloween. Directions for the frame can be found here.

I let parents and teachers know in advance that we would be having a photo booth with the ability to print for this event and supplied the links for HP's Social Media Snapshot app so those who wanted to, could download it.

The printer is wireless so those with an iPhone (or in my case an iPad) can easily print with or without the app. Android users need to print with the app to the wireless printer or download additional software. In case anyone missed the information, I printed the directions including where to get the app for all to see.

The app is not just for printing but also has fun borders and the ability to add text to the print, plus sharing on social media is easy, too.

Once the photo area was set and the printer connected to the school's WiFi, it was easy to connect directly to the printer to print pictures. Parents emailed their photos directly to the printer. It has its own email address! For those who did not have a smartphone, I took photos and shared it with them on Facebook after I printed the pictures.

HP Social Media Snapshot Fun at Fall Fest

It was so much fun to provide the photo area but also to be able to easily print the pictures on the spot! The best part is that those who wanted to participate did not have to be limited to our photo area but could also roam the fall fest for another backdrop, print to the printer, and come back to pick up their pictures.
