Selfie, Not Selfie: The Story Behind My Profile Picture

Selfie, Not Selfie. It's an USie.

The Hubs hates all forms of social media.

He barely uses Facebook and would probably cancel if it was not for our son on Facebook and he halfheartedly uses it for his freelancing - he is a photographer.

His phone, until recently, was a cousin to the Jitterbug, he only follows @iambaker on Instagram, and don't even ask to take a selfie with him. I have and he won't.

One day he finally said okay to my pouting for a selfie or an USie, but being a photographer and having his dSLR on him, he took his version of a selfie.

It started with this one on the train at Lodi Station Outlets last fall.

Followed by the one he took of us for our birthday bar crawl.

Which leads us to what was the current picture of us on the Miller Ferry to Put-in-Bay. Doesn't my hair look great!

But, of all the usies that we've taken, this one is my favorite.

Who needs a selfie stick? Not us!

Yes, that was taken without an aid of a tripod or by someone walking by. That, dear friends, is taken at his arm length with a dSLR camera.

I also realized that he is in all of my profile shots lately. Sure, it could be that his arm length above me angle makes me look ah-maze-ing! But, it's time for me to be solo for a bit, just my profile pic.

So, I took my own selfie and changed up my profile pic. It's me no make-up, no color, and no man; just a touch of snark.
