Today was my preschoolers' first parent teacher conference of her academic career. There were no real surprises and it took less then ten minutes but it reaffirmed that she is ready for kindergarten in the fall.
I love this photo my husband took of her on her first day with the teacher. She is not shy and was right up front, asking questions, and offering to help the teacher.
She will be my reader. After having one kid who broke out in hives at the sight of a book, it's nice to cuddle up with her and read but I feel a sense of sadness that I could not share that with my oldest. Then again, he and I will always have trains and legos.
