@SheSpeaksUp & @RecallsPlus Bring You the Best New App to Keep Your Family Safe #RecallsPlus

This is a sponsored post and I have received compensation. The opinions are 100% mine.

I am always dumbfounded when I hear that something I use has been recalled, months later.  Sadly, I  work for a company that process these types of releases and I am still behind!  I can only have so many alerts!

What I need is an app on my iPod touch (or for those of you who are more savvy iPhone)!

Thanks to SheSpeaks I am now in the know!  SheSpeaks has teamed up with Recalls Plus to create a very clever app that will allow us busy parents to keep track of product and food allergen recalls.  This app will also help keep track of products your children use most with Personal Watch Lists.

What is Recalls Plus?
Recalls Plus is a newly launched app that helps busy parents to proactively monitor recalls on their kids’ strollers, cribs, toys, formula, and other items for greater safety and peace of mind. The app is created by SAP, a market leader in software applications whose vision is to help the world run better.

Our diverse team consists of parents and others who are focused and passionate about parenting issues -- working around the clock to make sure we don’t miss catching a recall on kid’s products or food with undeclared allergens. Recalls Plus is designed and built for busy parents like you so you can focus on the important things in your life.

Recalls Plus is created by SAP—a market leader in enterprise application software, who’s vision is to help the world run better. Recalls Plus marks the first consumer-facing app developed by SAP – and more apps are on the way!

I could not have said it better. I have been using this app for about a month now and guess what I found...!

I eat alfalfa sprouts and I shop local farmer's markets!  Thanks to the app I was able to easily read the information about the recall and put my mind to rest that my sprouts were not recalled.

Another great feature is to set up alerts.

I will be honest.  I do not have many baby products or toddler products that fall under what I would need to watch.  Baby girl has never used a crib and I am not worried about her toddler bed.  So, instead of adding individual products I added food allergens

The Husband is allergic to all nuts so when a product accidentally forgets to divulge that nuts were used in cupcakes...

I will be alerted or at the very least be able to go back to see if a product is recalled so that we know for the next time.

The ability to share the link on Facebook, Twitter and by email is just another great feature.

By the way.. Its a free app!  So go, go now before they change it!
