It is summer for goodness sake! Do what you want!
But... here are the top 5 things you should (and what that would look like in North East Ohio) this summer!
1. Volunteer!
Get out and do something fun with kids and teach charity!
Last summer, my company participated in the Special Olympics' Plane Pull and I dragged the kids along while we pulled a plane. We are doing it again this year and guess what the Kindergartner (soon to be first grader) will be doing?!?! If you guessed pulling a Piper Archer single engine plane - you are right my friend!

2. Check out the local zoo.
If you are from North East Ohio this, of course, means the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and if you are from here (or planning a visit) then it means the African Elephant Crossing.

3. Hit up a parade or two or three...
Summer is just not summer if you don't go to a parade. For us - the Lakewood Fourth of July parade is always a hit. Candy thrown at us by local politicians, unicyclists, people dressed as fruits & veggies! Something for everyone... really!
4. Go out and play!
Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, catch fire flies, swing on a swing, go to the beach! This seems obvious but...
5. Go Bowling!
Air conditioning, free bowling for the kids, cheap bowling for me and the Husband... easy, peasy! For locations near you click here.
