Holiday Spirit...?

I am really struggling this Christmas to get into the spirit...  I put up the tree and the stockings,  I scattered (very haphazardly) the various Christmas nick knacks and I am still struggling.  We have not even done our Christmas card picture for Christmas cards. sigh. Oh and the baby needs a stocking...  and a stocking holder because I bought a train set that does not have a fourth piece...  (I did not plan for additions to our family so I purchased a 3 piece train set years ago).

I can not even bring myself to decorate the office.  The big part is because then I would have to take it all down and I just can't even think about that right now.

On a more positive note, my office donated over 300 lbs of food to the local foodbank.  That should have helped but alas...  Next year I am going to organize a decorating committee.  This year...  I will hang Christmas Holiday cards in the office.

I am planning to make festive holiday cupcakes for my PSR class' gift exchange that was suppose to be last Monday but since so many did not bother (or forgot) their gift I had to postpone it until this Monday.

That is as far as I got with the baking plan...  need to get the rest of my baking plan together.  Thinking I will be baking cookies later then planned this year.  Need a new cookie idea.  I am thinking I will do the reindeer mix I made last year and of course chocolate chip cookies are always a hit.

I HATE making sugar cookies so I bought the pre-shaped ones from GFS and they even come with the icing.  I am planning to use them for Corey's party.

I know the Husband's Uncle likes the Easiest Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe Ever (cup of peanut butter, cup of sugar, vanilla and an egg) and I have to make some of those...  Oatmeal?  Those seem pretty traditional and boring but again... not feeling festive.  sigh
