Tax-free weekend is upon us! Have you been to Just-a-Buck?
Friday to Sunday, the state of Ohio has given a holiday to sales tax on back-to-school favorites. Clothing priced at $75 per item or less, school supplies priced at $20 per item or less, and school instructional material priced at $20 per item or less are exempt from sales and use tax.
I'm a little cynical and can't help but wonder if stores now jack up prices this weekend because so many shoppers will be out, trying to save money.
One place you never have to worry about prices that being raised is at Just-a-Buck. Everything is always just a buck!
We checked out Just-a-Buck's back-to-school gathering to kick off our supply shopping. Not only did we get a ton of supplies, we met Bucky!
I love that my kids are not too cool for the Buckys of the world.
Pens, dividers, folders, glue, glue sticks, note cards, paper - pretty much all the supplies to set them up for success. And, included in the tax holiday!
Wide, clean aisles make it easy to find things. And, it was fun to find items that I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to buy.
What sets Just-a-Buck apart from other ordinary dollar stores is the contribution to our community. Just-a-Buck hires their employees through Solutions At Work, Inc.
SAW, Inc. is a private, 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, established in 1969, to provide employment to individuals with developmental disabilities. It is the non-profit partner of the Cuyahoga County Board of DD.
