Northeast Ohio in winter is quite confusing. There are areas that drown in snow and others that barely get a dusting. I happen to live where lake effect snow is very kind to us. Our typical winter is mild compared to those in the snow belt.
That's not to say we don't get snow, and it certainly gets cold. But the amount actual snow is tolerable.
I am, however, ready for spring. This seems to the perfect time to share some photos from the annual North Coast Harbor Ice Fest! It was only two weeks ago...
The Ice Fest has been a favorite event the last few years held on MLK Day. The Rock Hall and Great Lakes Science Center are free, but highly recommend not going in. It's way too crowded and not as enjoyable as it is on any other day.
However, it is the perfect place to warm up when the winds whipping off the lake get to be too much to handle.
Raise your hand if you are ready for spring!
