The New Year is upon us! Holidays are over, kids head back to school, and life gets back to its normal routine.
The new year also allows for a new normal routine. Last year, I put into place a few ways to help me be more organized. Today, I'm sharing what I have been doing for the new year not only for my mental health but to stay on track with a healthier diet. And, I have Giant Eagle Curbside Express Delivery to make it possible!
5 WAYS TO MASTER NEW YEAR ORGANIZATION
1. Lists - write things down!
Apps crash, phones break, and computers die. Putting thoughts and lists on paper make staying on track simpler for me. Plus, there is something gratifying scratching things off my to-do list.
2. Hire help
I hate cleaning and I'm not very good at it. Last year, I hired help! Our cleaning person comes twice a month. Just enough to tackle all the things I hate to do making my chore list less stressful.
3. Workout at home
Instead of fitting in my workout time when I could at the gym, I canceled my gym membership. Now, I do it when I can even if it means waking up early or doing it while I watch TV with the kids. And, when I do it while the kids are home, they join me.
4. Prep for the week
Meal planning and prep is just part of getting ready for the week. It's also making sure that our clothing choices for the week are together and school necessities are ready to go.
5. Groceries delivered
Instead of making a list for groceries then driving to the store, shop, pay, drive home, and put them away I drop a few steps. Now, I shop Giant Eagle online and have them delivered to my door! After paying for my order online all that's left is putting them away!
Giant Eagle Curbside Express Delivery is convenient and simple.
While at work or at home, I shop at the Giant Eagle website. Our goal this year is to buy more variety in fruits and vegetables. Shopping online allows me to stick to the things we want and need without being distracted by temptations. Like chocolate cake. But, I can get that, too.
It's easy to shop from my last order or from the weekly ads.
Don't want substitutions? Want to avoid green bananas or chocolate ice cream? Add a note to the personal shopper.
And, when it's time to check out, I schedule when it will arrive and which door to make the delivery.
Fresh fruit, frozen veggies, crispy lettuce, ice cream, cases of water, and a number of other necessities were delivered to my door by a friendly person. I didn't even have to put shoes on or change out of my sweats.
