Guess what time it is?!?
Girl Scout time!
My little Daisy is in her second year with the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio. That means more adventures this year and we will be sharing them along the way.
When she started with her troop, I did not know what to expect.
That's a lie. I knew there would be meetings and maybe a field trip. And, I knew there would be cookies. Lots and lots of cookies.
What I did not expect was that everyone would be so nice. From the parents coming to meetings to the volunteers and even other troop moms and dads.
Fun fact: This volunteer and I work together. |
After a summer apart, our Daisies came together for Girl Scouts at the Metroparks Zoo Day.
You would have never guessed that they didn't meet in the summer months. Yes, a few girls are closer to each other, but no one was ever left out.
Well, except this one time, but she did make it on the rock for a group shot.
The girls had the run of the zoo.
We saw the elephants, the giraffes, and the tigers. But, the selfie sations were a huge hit!

The girls even rode the carousel. And, I got to ride too.
All in all, it was a day full of fun. Even the rain stayed away to make sure the girls had a good time.
I want so much for my Daisy to be part of something special. I want her to see that girls and women can be sisters. Women are stronger when we unite and when we don't tear each other down. I think that the Girl Scouts will help her see that and so much more.
