Boy, what a month! I completed The Real You at the YMCA and have gone a little crazy trying ice cream all over Northeast Ohio. Of all of the wonderful things that happened this month, here are five of my favorite things that I found.
Amy & Brian Coconut Water
I had no idea I liked coconut water until we were sent samples of Amy & Brian Coconut Water to try. The hubs is a big smoothie guy! He used the coconut water to make smoothies. It tasted amazing. Sweet and subtle. I thought for certain that he added additional sweetener but he did not.
Of all the flavors sent, (pulp, no pulp, grape, and lime) lime was by far my favorite. Tropical hints of lime without overpowering my smoothie.
Sonoma Syrup Company's Apple Cider Vinegar infused with Lemon and Vanilla
I started drinking apple cider in the morning. I heard that it would help reduce my appetite. It worked. Two tablespoons in a glass of water first thing in the morning. It's not a bad taste.
Sonoma Syrup Company sent me a bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar infused with Lemon and Vanilla to try. I'm sure there are plenty of recipes I could share like apple cider donuts or coffee cake. That's another post.
Instead, I added it to my water. I read that adding vinegar water to your workout will give you energy. I tried that. It quenches my thirst, the taste is great, but I'm not sure I actually feel energetic.
Graze
I tried a snack delivery service before and it was just okay. Graze is different. The portions are the perfect portion for snacking. It's especially perfect when you are watching calories. I wish the price point was lower, but lemon drizzle flapjack and deconstructed strawberry chocolate cheesecake are worth it. I also like the caramel and chocolate dips.
Shh... I get it delivered to work so I don't have to share.
Aldi's Simply Natural Roasted Red Pepper Dressing
Wonderfully tangy and sweet, but not too sweet. This dressing is perfect for salads. Taste great with strawberries or blueberries with feta and chicken. So, so, so good. It makes me want to like the bowl.
Cleveland
As Cleveland prepares for the RNC, the Cavs won, the Indians are winning, the Monsters won a title, and so did a MMA fighter - Cleveland is just happy. Cracking Art Group has brought 400 artworks of wolves, frogs, snails, meerkats and swallows to the city. These larger than life, brightly colored pieces are just fun. And, we are having fun looking for them all.
