We received an overnight stay, waterpark admission, and breakfast buffet to facilitate this post. I did not receive any other compensation for this post. Opinions are my own.
There is a crazy amount of snow in Northeast Ohio right now. Sure, it's winter and that's what happens in winter but - the snow was starting to get to me. Thank goodness for Castaway Bay!
Our family was invited to spend a night at Castaway Bay with several other blogging families to escape the winter doldrums and enjoy the indoor waterpark. Castaway Bay has also provided four-day passes to share with a lucky reader! Enter to win at the end.
We got to Castaway Bay Saturday afternoon, checked out our room, and hit the waterpark. When we got hungry we hit up Big Daddy's Snack Shack for pizza and pretzels. It was fantastic.
I must admit, this was my first time at an indoor waterpark and I had no idea what to expect. The room at Castaway Bay was clean, bright, and comfortable. The kids loved looking out through the patio window but would not venture out onto the balcony.
I love the microwave and a fridge. I came prepared with veggies and fruit juice for the trip and was glad for the fridge. I am sure this is common in hotel rooms now so I am admitting how little we travel these days - sad I know, we need to get out more.
The water park was incredibly fun and the kids loved it. There was nowhere that I worried about the kids being because the lifeguards are constantly scanning and there are life preservers for the little ones or not so confident swimmers.
Between the wave pool, Creature Lagoon, all of the slides, toddler's tide pool, and Lookout Lagoon Family Fun House, there is a ton to do but for me there is a hot tub! I was pretty fond of it and the kids got a kick out of being outside while it snowed in the warmth of the water. Okay, if given the chance I would have spent the entire time in the hot tub, but with everything else to do I was out voted, often.

Sure, I helped and pretended I wasn't helping, but she rocked it, forty times.
We hit up Ebb and Eddy's for dinner but, to be honest, I wish went with Mango Mike's, they opened the buffet in the evening since TGI Fridays is in the process of becoming Quaker Steak and Lube. As a fan of Quaker Steak, I'm really excited for it to be open when we return.
The food was okay, but took way too long, and the kids were trying to see Snoopy. The goal was to hit up the dance party but missed it. We showed up in time for the movie which was a big hit. And, RD was thrilled with the added bonus of Snoopy reading their bedtime story.
I love the extra events planned for the kids and that Snoopy was there which made the trip, even more memorable.
Castaway Bay is a whole lot of fun and a great way for the family to spend quality time together without breaking the bank.
