Yes, Icebox Overnight Oats Oatmeal is Possible

Yes, Icebox Overnight Oats Oatmeal is Possible

It is all over pinterest and even HuffPost - cold oats in a peanut-butter jar, but does it work?

And, why am I jumping on this post your oats bandwagon? Because it is NaBloPoMo and I needed to write about something tonight, before midnight, so I can count today.

The one thing about the Huffington Post article and many of the recipes I found was that they ranged from incomplete recipes (like the HuffPost article) or too complicated. Few just come out and say -

Follow measurements on box but instead of cooking it, place in jar and refrigerate over night. Optional: add yummy stuff like bananas or cinnamon as you see fit.

I also love to call the Frigidaire an icebox so I've decided to call my oatmeal - Icebox Oatmeal. Nice ring, eh? It sounds so much more fun than "cold oats" or "overnight oats."

Is it good? Let's just say, I will never eat oatmeal hot again.

Happy weekend!

Thank you
