Why #Uncorked Ventures is an Adventure in Wine Clubs #sponsored

There a dozen wine clubs out there but when you make it to a Forbes list I would say you have something going on. Uncorked Ventures is on a list and I was recently sent a shipment to facilitate this review. I have not received any other compensation and views are all my own.

Wine delivered to your home! Such a great idea especially when one enjoys wine but doesn't have the time, patiences, or resources to really search for something new.

The difference to joining Uncorked wine club is that they focus on California, Washington and Oregon wines, mainly from hard-to-find smaller wineries with limited distribution. These are wines I would never have discovered but is available at my door monthly.

I found that Uncorked differs from some of the other wine clubs in that they don't lock you into a monthly subscription, unless you want to be in a monthly subscription. You can pick from one time delivery, once a quarter, every other month, and of course monthly. You can even purchase in advance which would make for a perfect Holiday or birthday gift for the wine lover in your life.

The two wines in my delivery was a 2012 Buonocore Lodi Zinfandel and a 2012 Mitzi Chardonnay. Both are small wineries from California and both seem to have a strong sense of community supporting small wineries and building relationships.

Even though I am not a fan of white wine in general, Uncorked does not have a red only or white only option for their subscription service. This is a good thing for me since I would never explore white wines unless I had to do so. I think this made for a better overall experience.

I saved both wines for a monthly mom meet-up I host (which happened to be on Halloween this month) and broke into the zinfandel as soon as the first guest walked through the door but the popular pick that night was the chardonnay. With membership to Uncorked, there are discounts on re-orders which would come in handy since both wines were really nice and I would like to order them again.

All in all I was really pleased not only with the selection I received but the wine club itself. It seems like an affordable option without the high pressured gimmicks to make you continue every month.

Uncorked Ventures made for a pleasant adventure in wine tasting. What is your favorite wine?

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
