9 Niffty Niceties Normally in My Northeast Ohio Neighborhood #AtoZChallenge

I really struggled with what to do with the letter "N" in my A to Z Challenge.  There is Nautica and Northfield Park, I could write about.  I could pay tribute to the neighborhood revitalization happening from Tremont to Waterloo but I don't feel like I would do it justice.   What I can make note about is my neck of the woods, my neighborhood.

I treasure my city.  It is where I grew up, where I call home now, and where I hope to live out my children's school days.  There is no other place I would rather be and I can't imagine living anywhere but my neighborhood.

Nurturing Teachers

The schools in Lakewood are pretty good and the teachers are wonderful - so far.  I am going to be heartbroken when we finally get that teacher but for now, fingers crossed!

Pools!  Two Pools!

And kids under six are free!  Never mind the close proximity to a park at each and we walk there.

Amazing views of the lake

Community gardens throughout the city.

This one is behind one of the two libraries.

Parks are everywhere!

The arts are represented in every way possible and celebrated with a citywide yearly arts festival.

Two libraries with fun and engaging activities!

Not to mention, city owned!

Have a sweet tooth?

There is a place for you.  I am certain that my neighborhood is going to be a hub for sweets, candy, and ice cream soon.

It's Home

The city has changed so much since I was growing up and it may not be perfect but it is certainly close.
