@KidoodleTV, TV for Kids That Parents Will Love Too - Try for Free in December #MC #sponsored

Kidoodle.TV

I participated in a Blog Blast program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kidoodle.TV. I received a promotional item and a free trial as a thank you for participating.

I am one of those moms who let her kids drink soda, stay up late and let them watch TV - in moderation of course! But with 24/7 cartoon channels it is easy to lose track of how much time they spend watching the boob tube. Kidoodle.TV is a new subscription service that allows parents to customize a channel suited to your child’s age and control what and how much they watch.

My kids are five years apart and what is right for one is not always best for the other but with Kiddoodle.TV each kid gets their own interface that they can customize with their choice of avatar and color background.

Today, Baby Girl and I sat down to the computer to check out her Kidoodle.TV on the family computer to see what it is like. I signed up the night before and with three quick clicks in the Parent's Room, I created her profile and picked which age groups she is allowed to view. Now, that would have been it but as I looked over the choices for her age group and the programs that weren’t available to her I saw that I could easily add them.

Once I showed her which shows were available and where to click, my three year old was navigating the easy to use kid interface, without much help from me. You can tell that the brains behind the design made the navigation and layout with kids in mind.

We had a blast scrolling through he shows and watching some of the programs. I love that both my eight year old son and my daughter are enjoying some of the shows that I grew up watching like Inspector Gadget and Strawberry Shortcake. I can’t wait to see what other shows they add to their lineup.

I have found that Baby Girl likes mysteries and Hurray for Huckle has become a new favorite along with her old favorite Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. As for my eight year old he is really digging the National Geographic series and I get to seem Jem and the Holograms again!
I like the site. I like the clean layout and how easy it is for the kids to use. I don’t have an iPad or iPhone so I can’t speak to the apps but the website is really cool and works on my Surface. I hope they get an app for Kindle.

Check it out - For the rest of the month you can try Kidoodle.TV for FREE and if you join by December 31, 2013 you will be entered to win 1 of 10 tablets or 1 of 10 Kidoodle.TV year-long subscriptions! Be sure to follow Kidoodle.TV on Twitter and on Facebook for updates!
