Comedy I Can Watch with the Kids in the Room - Stand Up For Family

This post brought to you by American Family Insurance. All opinions are 100% mine.

Several lifetimes ago, I worked at the Cleveland Improv.  It was by far, one of the best places I have ever worked.  Ever since then, I have had a sweet spot in my heart for comedians and try to support the ones I knew even after all of these years.

When I was there I met (and even drank) with some amazing comedians.  For instance, I knew seven out of the 10 contestants on Last Comic Standing season two.  When I saw American Family Insurance's Stand Up For Family I had to check it out.  A comedy show I can watch with the family?  No way!

My favorite video was Bill Bellamy's Respect.  Bellamy reminisces about his mama and the "kids should be seen and not heard" philosophy.  I pee'd a little when he mentioned how his mama, "could read your mind" and "you couldn't even have your own thoughts."  His facial expressions are a hoot!

And, then there is Donelle Rawlindgs talking about his brand new bike and how he was reminded not to let anyone use his bike, but, of course he did and the neighborhood bully took it.  Donelle also brought up fried bologna sandwiches which cracked me up because my dad would make those for us and his description of the bully eating one is crazy funny.

AmFam did a great job presenting Stand Up For Family and showcasing some amazing family friendly comedians.  With so many comedians out there going for the shock value it is nice to watch something that I am not embarrassed to watch in front of my kids.  I also love that their stories are stories I can relate to and share my experiences with the kids.
