A Love Story * Sweet Water Child: Lullabies for Getty

I am a daily reader of Dear Crissy and when I saw her post on Sweet Water Child: Lullabies for Getty I was intrigued... her post lead me to Lullabies for Getty.

What I was surprised and admittedly saddened to find was a love story  for a sweet baby named Getty who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA1).  She was born a day after my Jamba Mama and despite the despair I am sure her family feels at times and shares in her blog, the whole blog is just an amazing story of life and hope. 

They have also started a foundation, Getty Owl Foundation, to help find a cure and help other families.  The generosity they show is overwhelming.

All donations to GETTY OWL FOUNDATION will be used to support the charitable cause of GETTY OWL FOUNDATION and not baby Getty personally.

This family, their beautiful baby girl and their story is truly as amazing.  I urge you to check out the site and take a listen to the Lullabies for Getty.  The music is so sweet and so pure.  I can't wait to share it with my babies.
